KingEver dream about going to Vegas for your bachelor party, getting so inebriated that you cannot remember that you stole Mike Tyson’s pet tiger or how a naked Asian man got into your trunk?  Oh and where you might have left one of your best buds, who also happened to be the groom?

That is the premise behind the movie The Hangover.  The movie is jammed packed with the shenanigans of four guys heading to Vegas two days before the wedding.  The group starts out with good intentions for the party, until future brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), decides to secretly slip the others (and himself) a little ecstasy into their drinks.  The only problem with his theory, he didn’t buy ecstasy but instead had ‘roofied’ the gang.

The next morning no one can find the groom Doug (Justin Bartha), Stu (Ed Helms) ends up marrying a hooker (Heather Graham) and Phil (Bradley Cooper) ended up in the emergency room with no idea what happened to him.  It is fun to watch Stu, Phil and Alan try to remember what happened to them the night before.  Their $4500 a night room was trashed, livestock scattered around the room and yes, Mike Tyson’s pet tiger is just hanging out in the bathroom.

I don’t want to give too much of the story away, but I would say it is a good movie to watch if you just want to not think about anything and laugh for a good two hours.   Will the groom be found in time to get back for the wedding?  Well, you will just have to rent the DVD because I am not going to give away the ending.
The cast couldn’t have been picked any better than it was.  Each character has their own faults and specialness that brings something to the film.  I also must hand it to Ken Jeong who has a full frontal moment.  Not too many men do such scenes – and believe me this one is more humorous than anything else.
